Band-in-a-Box
automatically generates a complete professional quality arrangement of piano,
bass, drums, guitar and strings in a wide variety of popular styles. (Jazz, Pop,
Country, Classical and more.) With Band-in-a-Box, you can input a typical song
in just two minutes. You'll quickly build up a large library of your favourite
songs! First off, you’ll
get “guitar styles” – styles that play and show strummed and picked
guitar parts accurately on the guitar fretboard, using your choice of Pop, Jazz,
Country, or Folk guitar chording. These are the best sounding guitar styles ever.
And we include many “guitar styles” free with Version 11! Then there’s
the “Guitar Tutor”, which shows you real guitar chords on a guitar fretboard
along to any song, and in any style. There’s also a chord substitution wizard,
which can provide you with a choice of applicable substitutions for any chord
progression. And you can automatically generate a Guitar Chord Solo to any melody.
Then there’s the
“MIDI File Chord Wizard” that reads any MIDI file and interprets the
chords for you to be displayed in Band-in-a-Box. There’s a new Melody Embellisher
that automatically adds life to existing Melodies by adding slurs, grace notes,
vibrato, legato changes, extra notes and more, to simulate the varied interpretations
that different musicians make when playing a Melody. You can now Change Styles
at any bar in the song. There’s also a Chord Preview Builder. This feature
allows you to hear how a chord sounds before you select it from the popular chord
types offered. And many more new features… Note:
Band-in-a-Box version 11 runs on Mac OS9, or OS8 and requires 16 MB of available
memory. Band-in-a-Box version 11 runs under OSX but may have timing problems using
QuickTime, so we recommend OSX users reboot under OS9 to run Band-in-a-Box version
11 without playback timing problems.
