| Create unique acoustic environments. For sound engineers, where you record is as important as what you
record. Thats because the acoustic environment can greatly affect the overall warmth
and reverb of your final audio mix.
Now you can make audio tracks sound like they were recorded in almost
any room you can imagine. Cakewalk Audio FX 3 SoundStage allows you to design acoustic
environments in which to play back digital audio, resulting in unique, realistic reverb.
To create the perfect room, just click and drag your mouse to move walls
and change ceiling height. Choose from different microphones, and place them inside the
room. Then assign each audio track to different "performer" positions to hear
custom reverb on each track.
When youre finished, save your soundstage for other sessions, or
use as a template for other designs. Audio FX 3 includes ready-to-use soundstages too.
So stop searching for the perfect recording space, and design your own
soundstage with Cakewalk Audio FX 3.

Why DirectX Audio Plug-ins?
Cakewalk Audio FX 3 is a real-time audio processing plug-in for Windows 95/98/NT. All
Cakewalk Audio FX plug-ins are Microsoft DirectX-compatible, allowing you to use them with
any digital audio software that supports DirectX including Guitar Studio, Home Studio 8,
Professional 8, and Pro Audio 8.
Cakewalk Audio FX 3 uses 32-bit, floating-point processing, providing you with fast,
precise, mono and stereo audio effects. Cakewalk Audio FX 3 can be used as real-time
effects during record or playback, or used to render audio tracks as off-line edits. So
you get maximum editing flexibility whether you're mixing tracks at home or in the studio.
While many different audio plug-in platforms exist today, Microsoft DirectX is the true
open standard for audio plug-ins on the Windows platform. This means that you are not
limited to a single manufacturer's proprietary format. DirectX is supported by the
industry's leading manufacturers of digital audio software, giving you a wide range of
plug-ins and host programs from which to choose.
